Our blank discs are designed to offer a communication system unique to you and your child or young person. They can be used to support your child or young person to assign different feelings wants or needs, rather than as a generic emotional state. i.e. blue may represent “I want to go to bed”, yellow may be “can I have a story”. Often difficult requests for a child or young person with communication difficulties to make. Great for use at home where the routine and demands of school may differ and the child or young person is feeling overwhelmed from the school day but still needs to.

These are available as round or square (with rounded corners) disks.

They come in a set of four in our standard colours (Red, Green, Orange and blue)

Designed in collaboration with a senior CAMHS nurse, who has 30 years experience in the fields of adult learning disability and autism, children’s learning disability, children’s mental health and crisis intervention. Therapeutic skills include dialectical behaviour therapy, (DBT) and Non-Violent resistance therapy (NVR).
